How I used it:

For this lesson I created a Thinglink that has information on the Impasto painting technique. The students are able to watch a brief intro video with information about what the term means as well as a video detailing how to use the technique. Examples of paintings from famous artists that use the Impasto technique are provided as well. There is also a button that lists the supplies needed for students to try using Impasto themselves.

How I used it:

I created this seesaw to use in a lesson about interpreting mood and ideas in an artwork. Students will be able to quickly fill in their responses in the activity and will be able to complete the task faster than writing answers on a printed sheet. It would be helpful to use this because the image of the artwork remains in front of them the entire time they are responding.

How I used it:

I used Smore to create a newsletter for my 8th Grade Art Class. This will help them keep up to date with projects and when they are due. It also has important information like the link to the Tinkercad class login as well as ways to get in touch with me if they need anything. It could also be a good resource to share with parents so they can stay in communication with things going on in the classroom.

How I used it:

I used InsertLearning to add to a lesson about Pop Art. The article used for the assignment has background information as well as style characteristics for the students to view. InsertLearning makes it possible for the students to keep track of what they are reading in order to check for understanding. There is also a question in the assignment that connects back to the previous unit in a compare and contrast format. The students are also introduced to a modern artist creating in the Pop Art style, so I added a link to a video describing how he creates his art. This will be helpful for the students because there are no sample works of his in the article.

How I used it:

I created a Tic Tac Toe Choice Board for a lesson on Expressionism. The students will choose three of the squares to complete but they must use the center square to make tic tac toe. The variety of tasks appeal to all nine of the Multiple Intelligences and will allow students of all intelligences to be successful with the assessments. There are opportunities for the students to use various online tools/ resources allowing for differentiation in the way students learn best. The students will be able to show they have understood the content presented in the lesson by completing this tic tac toe. It will be presented the first day of this lesson on Expressionism.
