My focus with past present future is on conflict. With every artist I focus on, I introduce a new type of conflict in my work. I've looked at internal conflict with adrien ghenie, and historical conflict with dox thrash.

One of my achievements would defenitkey be my lino carving. I put a lot of detail into it which gave the final print realism

Target Grade : 6

For a target, I need to make sure to attend at least 1 after school session a week to complete any work i miss

For literature, we started the year off by reading inspector calls, we did a coursework draft. For language, we started looking at the poems we are going to be assessed on in our GSCEs, like "Polo with a headless goat " and "Young and Dyslexic. My achievements in English are that I have done pretty well in my assessments, and I have a clear knowledge in what we are learning. A target for me would be to add more detail to my answers.

Combined Science

In Biology, we are recapping content from last year such as the layers of a plant. We are also learning about new content such as carcinogens, human defences and pathogens. I would say that I have improved significantly from last year. My teacher has helped me understand the topics and subjects we are learning

In Physics, we are learning about different types of equations we can apply to our answers, different types of energy, and various types of circuits and things used in a circuit. A target for me would be to memorize equations.

In Chemistry, we are learning about different ways to balance equations, moles, the structure of certain elements and more.

Educake has helped me revise these Sciences so a target for me would be to complete an Educake task every day.

Math

In math , we have been recapping content from last year such as quadratic equations and line euqations. we have also learned new content such as factorising quadratic equations, bounds, inequalities , probability , sequences and circle theorems ( which we also learned last year )

Area of strength : Gradient between two coordinates

Areas of improvement : Raise an algebraic expression to the power of zero

Media has been very enjoyable in these past 3 months. I have learned a lot about certain codes such as technical codes ( camera movements, lighting, shot sizes, camera angles ), written codes ( Titles, captions, headlines) and Visual (symbolic) codes (objects, setting, colour, costumes and body language ). We've learned about mise en scene, which you can pick out in a frame. We've learned about connotations and denotations. We are now learning about 1950's adverts, when adverts targeted women only as housewives and mothers, making ads like omo ( laundry detergent) and in 1952: "Don't worry darling, you didn't burn the beer!". These connote sexist stereotypes women had to go through.

History

In History, we did a brief recap on the Treaty of Versailles to understand the events we were going to learn. we started learning about the Weimar government ( a government established to help Germany stabilize ) the rise of nazi germany ( led by Hitler) and now we are learning about how Hitler became chancellor and how he held Germany at the grasp of his hands. My teacher has helped us learn how to structure our 6, 8 and 16-mark answers to ensure we know how to write our essays.

Basketball

Basketball is one of my EEE's . In basketball, i feel I've improved significantly in my skills. I've umpired U19 and U16 boys basketball and U19 girls basketball games.

I was invited to write for the school newspaper along with one of my peers to create an article where we interview people at our school on their takes on mental health.

In form , I have done a lot of things provided by miss sroa that imporves me and my peers as students. We fill in our planners with homework or upcoming asessments to stay on date. We have done Upstrive to help with our wellbeing . And recently, the 30X30 Challenge which helps us with our Physicial and mental wellbeing. As of now, I have 32 class charts and 1 negative . My goal for the next term is to have 60 class charts
