Questions to discuss:
  • Your initial reaction: Did the book hook you immediately or take some time to get into?
  • Do you think the story is thoroughly based on true events?
  • Do the characters change throughout the story? How did your opinion of them change?
  • Which character do you relate to the most, and what was it about them that you connected with?
  • How did you feel about the ending? What did you like, what did you not like, and what do you wish had been different?
Previously to every meeting, you will be asked to email the teacher a paragraph (150 words maximum) summarizing what you have read so far. You will obtain corrections to your writing by attending the meeting.
