Maybe he would use god as a shield because he would rather obey god then the other people.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Dennis (Outer), Donovan (Inner)<br>Donovan-He doesn't find Socrates's conviction justified because it silenced an opinion<br>Dennis-He thinks that standing up for himself is noble and honorable but in a situation where he is in the wrong in the eyes of the law, he should have went with the lesser punishment rather than be given the death sentence<br>Dennis-"He didn't directly tell them that they were wrong, but he indirectly proved that some didn't know as much at they thought they did."<br>"It's like a mix of both where some would be humbled and others would be aggravated by some random man coming up to you and proving that you don't know as much as you think."<br>"He sees himself as someone who has been all around Athens and has knowledge of who and what and know the limits of the people are."<br>"Skepticism means you don't have much trust in anything, you question everything and this is similar to what Socrates did."<br>"Usually in science classes you're told to question your results, and are told to do it again to produce the results, which is related to Socrates' skepticism"<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I feel as if he should have backed down from the charges because if he didn't die, then he could have stayed alive to teach others about what he believed. I would like if someone would ask me questions because sometimes you are just speaking to speak, so in order to actually mean something, then you should be questioned on it. I believe Socrates was trying to prove something that could not be proven (how he wasn't the wisest man in  Athens) , as stated before that he was told that he was one of or the wisest man in Athens, which led him to disbelieve and caused him to question everything and began to be skeptical. </div>]]></description>
