Product Interview- Temakita

1. Temakita is a local business that started a few years ago. It has Japanese food, it is a small business that has increased over the years. It has 3 locations in Monterrey, and it is opening up in Mexico City and Cancun. It has a variety of products and it is healthy and delicious. I like the product because I like japanse, sushi, and especially creating my own bowls.
2. This product meets our class product success criteria since it is affordable, because it tastes delicious and its simple food. It functions well since the food takes a little time to prepare, it is high-quality food, and the locations are near our city. It is also relevant to our society since it is healthy, and it is something you can order from Rappi, and takes no time.
3. A summary of my product story is that I first asked my cousin which is one of the three owners of the place, that what had inspired her to create this business. She told me it all started because this idea was something small that could bring a lot of smiles. Its main concept was that most of the food was healthy, which these days many people are focused on that. Also, the menu and food is simple and its like a fast food recipe; you do not take a lot of time to receive the food, and its something fresh and easy. She told me that some of the step backs right now is that she is currently in Asia on a months trip, so she is not able to take care of the buissnes, and that another co-owner moved to Mexico city, so right now things get complicated some of the times. But they hired a really good manager that takes care of the place, and it has really helped them.

Daniel Garza: Product Interview - HFruitOh!

Description: HFruitOh! Dehydrated fruit, packaged in a mason jar with 7 daily servings that can be added to add flavor to your water. Customers can purchase refills weekly.

2. I do think that this meets the class criteria because they offer a starter kit which is a mason jar filled with a weeks’ worth of packets, and I think that this is a good start for people who don't have a lot of money. It's also easy to use as it's just a fruit flavor inside a small bag and solves the problem that many of us have, drinking water can be boring at a certain point, and adding a bit of flavor can solve this issue.

3. I started off by asking her where she got the idea to create this product, she answered that she was having lunch at a friend’s house and her husband had just returned home from Taiwan. He brought back these little packets of dehydrated fruit that you could add to your water to give it more flavor. The packet she gave me contained dehydrated kiwi, lemon, and orange, and the fruit made my plain water taste so delicious. I thought that the individual packets were a great idea. She got the inspiration to create the product because she likes to drink a lot of water throughout the day to keep me hydrated and healthy, but plain water can get boring, so I thought the dehydrated fruit was a great way to add a bit of flavor while still remaining healthy. Her daughter and herself are the ones that lead this business forward. Something unique about this product is how they offer a “starter” kit which is a mason jar filled with a weeks’ worth of packets. You can add one packet per day and drink out of the mason jar. We liked this idea of the glass jar because a lot of people are trying to cut back on plastic bottles. She tells me how it's very easy to open and use this product, simply open your packet and add it to your water bottle. It lasts all day. Then repeat the following day with a new packet. In addition, she thinks it's very effective because it gets you to drink more water throughout the day. She designed it along with her daughter and experimented a ton with different types of fruit to dehydrate. We decided to use wax paper for the individual packets to avoid using plastic bags. She told me that is trying to give our customers fresh, healthy alternatives to drinking plain water is an accomplishment or goal. She states her audience to be anyone that likes to drink water. We are also hoping to expand to restaurants that serve specialty cocktails. This product is fresh and unique and customizable according to the owner. Lastly, they offer dehydrated: strawberries, mango, lemon, orange, kiwi, and star fruit flavors.
