The school he fights is the one Kageyama Tobio is in. Hinata's team lost by a wide margin, and that's where his middle school volleyball ended. Moving onwards, Hinata is in highschool now at Karasuno, and he applied to the volleyball team there. But when he entered the gym, there was a person, and it was none other then Kageyama. But during an official match during Winter Tournament, Seijoh won and brought Karasuno down.
