When looking for a job I contemplate about what my goals are, if I think long term than I would incline for a job that suits my desired career, if I am just looking for work for a fixed period than I will browse jobs that are in more industries. The values important for me when looking for a job are based on the working environment, benefits offered and my responsibilities. When deciding on a career I look for the values that the company guides itself by, it is very important for me that my values match with the company values, such as the market that the company is addressing to, the quality of the services offered, their interest in being kind to the environment and the companies policy to maintain a balanced professional and personal life together with the opportunities to develop.   

This unit started with clear guidance and good support, its filled with resources and its very interactive. It made me feel confident on creating a timeline using the companies history available on their website and I also found it easy to research articles to create a bibliography.

With the help of my tutors and teachers i have been able to identify most of the core skills needed for my desired career. 
Some of these skills are professional communication, time management, leadership skills, IT skills. 
Identifying the skills was the first step and with the support and knowledge available through my studies I will work hard towards developing these skills. 
One of the skills i feel more confident now is communication. I communicate verbally much better than before i started my studies, and I feel confident in speaking to a group of people. My written communication skills have also rocketed to a better level, writing my assessments has contributed in my work as well, learning how to write professional emails. 
In my units i have learned which personal skills contribute towards achieving leadership skills. When I got to the point where I have to make up for several papers, I realize that I could have put in more effort so that I would have submitted the papers on time, because it is much easier to work in real time than to be behind and whether you need to recover constantly. 
I am aware that in the future I have to work on time management so that I can complete my work in the little free time I have so that I don't have to end up in the current situation. 
I also have to keep up with the subject studied every week, allocate a few hours of study each week,take advantage of the small breaks in the program to read.
I know that my job does not allow me to be present at all the courses and I am aware that by being absent from the course I lose a lot, but unfortunately this is the situation, I will strive in the future to find opportunities to improve my attendance because it is to my advantage. 
It was quite difficult for me to complete the assignments, I was lucky to be able to watch the videos posted so that I could get an idea of what is required of me, that is why it is important to be able to participate in the courses in the future. 
I encountered difficulties in coming up with ideas that I could apply to the chosen business and which were not already adopted by it. 
What can I do to improve my development? To attend the courses, to study the materials provided in real time, to read the recommended books and to manage my time better so as not to end up in the current situation. To avoid the stress caused by this situation, I have to manage myself better.

setting. Develop a schedule to maintain time management for professional and personal responsibilities. 
Reflect on my professional communication skills. Ask for feedback from tutors and work colleagues if I am easily understood and work on being clear and concise.

Targets: Submit assignment. 
Action: Review completed work, check if I completed all requirements stated in the assignment brief, check spelling and grammar and if my communication is clear and concise.

Targets: Understand the leadership types and assess the attributes and skills needed for good leadership. 
Actions: Identify the leaders that inspire me and have a review of their skills. Assess their strengths in professional skills, and compare to my development looking for areas to improve further.

Targets: Recognise my positive qualities and think about applying them further in study and employment. 
Actions: Have a reflection of my positive qualities. Try to look at they look at if I'm talented in some areas, for feedback from phone colleagues and tutors at what my strong skills are. Create a plan for using them in academic and professional settings.

Targets: Identify the opportunities of having a profile on LinkedIn. 
Continue completing ILP on Padlet, work on A2 elevator pitch. 
Actions: Create a profile on LinkedIn, browse the opportunities that will help me achieve my career goals.
