This ad is called "I Need Your Money To Help Win This War". This ad uses testimonial by using the image of Uncle Sam. Even though Uncle Sam wasnt a real person he was seen as a well-respected authoritative voice during the war.

This advertisement is called "Proud of his Wife", which gave away the type of propaganda used right away. I think this ad is using the bandwagon technique to get women to buy Palmolive soap because the husband would be "proud" if she used it. It also talks about the women who use Palmolive soap, and describes them as "young looking" and even "clever enough to stay young with her husband." It makes women think that they need this product.

This advertisement is called "Help Your Country Protect You" tries to almost guilt people into believing in the war and attempts to motivates them to help. I think this captures the rhetoric of glittering generalities which attempts to sway emotions with tapping into peoples values and virtues because of the way it talks about motivating people protect their country that protects them.

This advertisement is called "Tick! Tock! Get Ready, Get Set, Go!". This advertisement incorporates the plain folks propaganda device to appeal to house wives (the target audience) in order to promote Ivory Soap. It directly appeals to house wives by featuring one in the ad and promotes the soaps gentleness through a compliment and observation made by the husband within the ad when he "tenderly" says to his wife "darling your hands are smoother!"
