         <description><![CDATA[<div>Consumers in this day and age have more access to information and digital media than ever before. Traditional methods of push-style marketing may not be the best way to move forward as consumers have the ability to make more informed choices. We need to engage them in their thought and research process stage, and also the post-buying process. The cycle continues, as with social media, the efficacy of the post-purchase evaluation/opinions can be spread and further influence other potential buyers or even solidify their loyalty to the brand. There are a few examples whereby, potential customers are turned off by the actions of the brand towards current consumers of the brand</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is quite enlightening to understand that you cannot just launch a marketing campaign without considering the timeline of your competitors: whose marketing campaign will end up as a mere trigger for a purchase decision, and whose will result in the consumers' patronage of its products and services. If the companies are throwing up a "special offers" campaign, how loyal are the consumers towards individual companies and brands? Even if you may be having the best price, will the sequence of your campaign vs your competitors result in consumer purchase? If your competition is advertising on Facebook (which may merely trigger the consumers' puchase intent), could direct emails to your consumers result in their purchase of your products/services?</div>]]></description>

Given the greater emphasis of research before purchasing decisions, more thought needs to go into making this information accessible and influential.  However, this does not displace traditional marketing activities like in-store experience or packaging; internet marketing needs to drive more traffic to them.</title>
