1. Hardware Firewall - Responsible for blocking out particular streams of PDU's/Data Packets. This is a physical method of the digital Firewall which simply functions in the same way. This can be used to prevent potentially malicious data from accessing the network/computer system.
2. Proxy Server - Has the purpose of adding an additional layer of security to a network in which it will serve the computer systems/clients on the network by allowing them to surf the web covertly through encryption methods.
3. Hardware Security Module (HSM) - This method of hardware security is responsible for crypto processing, safeguarding, and alerting clients on a network if there is some form of a breach, or an attempted breach of the network. This system is widely considered to be one of the strongest forms of network security, providing encryption and manageability of digital keys.

How these security methods work - Software

1. Antivirus/Anti-malware - A software security method which detects, prevents, and/or removes any threats that may pose a danger to the computer device. This method of security must be continuously updated in order to keep the software up to date with the ever-changing malware that could potentially invade a computer device.
2. Software Firewall - This is the software counter-piece to the physical Firewall device. This form of security, just like the Hardware version, monitors streams of PDU's/Data Packets entering the network, checking for any unwanted, potentially harmful code which could threaten the device.
3. Encryption - This method of security masks data, whether stored, or exiting the network. This can be provided by a server, or by some of the previously mentioned devices within a network, or can be allowed via software. This is a very strong method of security as it can slow, or completely prevent hackers from accessing stored data, something that can be extremely valuable for any organisation, no matter the size.
4. Computer Access Control - This method provides security to computers/device within a network by disallowing certain groups of users from accessing the device, or limiting what they can access on the device such as sensitive files stored on the network. This method of security comes in tree different categories:
A. Discretionary Access Control - This category of Access Control is the least restrictive of all categories as it allows the user full access to any/all owned properties, and any related programs.
B. Mandatory Access Control - This category
