After he was called those names he didn’t take it to offense. Another character trait is brave. This supports my claim because he knew hundreds of faces are going to be staring at him but he still went to school anyway (35).  To conclude, these are two important character traits that you should know about the main character August Pullman.

I liked the ending but i didn't find it amazing because it got boring when summer and Jack went to Auggies house for ice cream and cake. If i could change the ending i would change anything in the ending i would add a major plot twist when Auggie eats a weird nut in his ice cream and has to be rushed to the emergency room. The author tried to present a theme called treat others the way you want to be treated. One of R.j palacios strengths is the ability to leave cliff hangers. In my opinion i loved this book. I would recommend this book for ages 9-12.
