How does this change the urgency and overwhelming amount of paperwork for them to renew our certificates?

I'm NBCT, I don't apply for the extra clock hours for the process. Seems like extra busy work. Why not just move the application date to Feb 1?

What if they spread it out throughout the year instead of having two deadline time frames? It seems like that would allow them to spread the work throughout the year. Like for the Department of Health licenses, they expire on people's birthday's

For the new teachers is it still 3 years and then 5 years increments after that?

Even if we certified with our NB cert 5 years prior, we can still use the same NB to recertify?

Concerned about earning clock hour timeline. Is there a middle road of as late as possible without creating ridiculous workload for ataff at ospi to process paperwork? Some teacher use breaks like summer, winter, or spring to collect clock hours.

Is there a change to the process of adding an endorsement? Such as...if a teacher wants who is currently teaching Middle level English wants to move to another district that requires middle level ELA endorsement instead of K-8 certification, could they add that in the current timeframe?

Neither June 30th or January 1st seem like convenient timelines for educators to fill out the certificate renewal paperwork - Saving $35 doesn't seem like much of an incentive to do something like that over Christmas break - so what would be the incentive to do it over Christmas break?

Does the $35 fee apply only for renewal or would it also apply for new certs (such as someone moving in from out of state to take a new position, having to get initial WA cert)
