Plutonium has the most interesting history. In world war 2 the Nazis were trying to make a bomb out of the element plutonium to create a fusion bomb by slamming nuclear elements into each other creating a huge explosive chemical reaction. The alies' spy's found intel on the bomb and immediately went to the United States to tell them that they have to beat the Nazis to making the bomb. Luckily the Nazi's were defeated before they could make the bomb. Now the Japanese were the only ones left because they just wouldn't surender. So the United States used the atomic bomb on Japan winnnign world war 2 all because of a simple chain reaction with Plutonium.
