*Feedback from parents about how organized and well prepared we have been for the school re-opening has been impressive.
*We are also impressed by how much initiative teachers have taken to prepare themselves (reading, researching, attending webinars, taking online courses, collaborating, etc.). We are glad so many teachers were able take the GOA and the Tracey Tokuhama courses.
* We are amazed by how quickly teachers were able to get things up and running in just 4 days (websites, contact with parents, surveys, scheduling interviews, assignments on the platforms, P1st rooms ready,  links and everything ready to start classes onThursday, etc.)
Challenges
*We feel we did not really get a vacation and are worried we may burn out
*We are still struggling to balance the time we spend in front of the screen with meetings and emails (lots of parent emails that need to be answered thoughtfully).
* Communication overload and break down (lots of new information all the time (dynamic always changing), struggling to divide the communication with teachers and parents between the office staff. We need to organize ourselves to divide as an office because it feels like-we are all answering the same emails. We need to get more efficient in this area.
*We struggled at the end of the last school year and the beginning of this one as we have felt like we need a consistent presence on campus (for clerical tasks, room closure/opening, textbook orders, materials pick up, etc.)

Lots of excited kids, we feel like we are getting to know kids/build classroom community, more experienced with online learning, 4th grade teamwork, better knowledge of teaching platforms, trying new things with success!

Challenges:

-Some teachers still don't have the full Screencastify account.  Rafael said it would take a couple of days, but teachers need it urgently.

Suggestion:
-Could you send the GLL's meeting agenda on Thursday?  My meeting with teachers is on Friday at 7:45 and if you send it on that same day I don't have a chance to see them before our meeting on Mondays.
* Spanish teachers won't be available for Wednesday meetings with their grade level co-teachers  on the following dates:  (They will be in a course)

- team planning going well- I have a great team- lots of sharing, good division of work
- kids are showing up (for the most part)
- Jacob as our tech guys is doing a great job organizing all of our Blending Learning Hubs and Google Classrooms
- the meet the teacher meetings were just right
- most parents seem supportive, so far

Challenges:
- LONG day for kids in from of the computer...you can tell us to do a mix of online and offline activities, but that isn't so easy when the materials we have are online, and they are still at the point of needing a lot of help
- technical issues (some kids have terrible connections, some can't work their mics, lots of dropped connections)- impossible for us to know or be able to help with all devices
- Modern Classrooms is a LOT of work at the beginning of each unit
- scheduling issues to fit it all in! (more little breaks are needed in between)
- still not having access to the Screencastify premium is preventing a few of my teachers from being able to record their videos.
