There are many great channels on YouTube that focus on examining works of literature. My personal favorite, Ted-Ed, provides interesting visuals alongside their narration on books and authors.

My senior year of high school was characterized by a revolving door of substitute teachers. They struggled to keep us on task, just as we struggled to explain what our tasks were. I believe a website, like one created on Weebly, could have helped organize the class more effectively because whenever we were confused about what we needed to be doing, we could just check the site and find our assignments.

Animaker is a tool that I used in another university course. It allows students create short stories complete with characters, text, and simple animations. I think this tool could have been useful during the few weeks of class when we covered short stories, as well as during our final project. Below is an example of an Animaker video I created for a mobile app.

Although I don't use Quizlet much now, I did use it frequently in high school. This tool would have been useful in my 12th grade English class for times when we had quizzes about popular American poets, a topic that our class spent a good bit of time on.

High school students have selective memory. While it was our responsibility to be aware of our deadlines, it would have been helpful to get notifications when a due date was approaching. However, I think it would have been most helpful for days when she was not going to be in class. She could quickly alert the class of her absence and give instructions on where we should go.
