My students do quite a few activities that come under the umbrella of personalized learning. We use choice boards quite a bit across all of my science classes. My STEM students have done Genius Hour projects and other project-based activities (developing Rube Goldberg machines, designing green spaces in odd places, creating apps, etc.). When learning how to code, my students work individually, but are allowed leeway to help others work through the debugging process. We use Kahoots, Nearpod, and other interactive platforms. Every class also uses Edmodo.com to communicate, review assignments and to enrich lessons.
