There are lots of ancient monuments around the world that were build many years ago, that still manage to stand today. Throughout time, what has been built has changed. Instead or wood carvings, we have a sky tower. Instead of a castle, we have a sky scraper. In my opinion, things have changes greatly over a long period of time. :)

I know that some of the old big buildings are built for someone special to that countries like the king ! Other ideas of old buildings or walls are the Chinese big wall to show which side is china and which is not. Nearly all of the old buildings aren't any people living in anymore but the are tours and lookouts to look at them. Some of the walls or bridges you can go onto some are just for looking at >

There are lots of different ancient building designs that were made long ago. But they are still strong today. When time goes by, we humans start using different materials to make different buildings. Like instead of stone carvings or a wooden carvings we have a strong tower or sky scarper. Nowadays, we also use better quality materials for buildings. I know that the Great Wall of China was built around the 221 B.C, made by many different types of workers. Last but not least, in my opinion I think things have had a changes when you look at the ancient buildings and the modern ones.

In the olden days most buildings in countries like China were more precious and big. There would be murals in the houses and other more beautiful decorations. Now in China there are so many apartments and less beautiful houses. In Japan there is a house made of pure gold. Now in Japan there are less people living in golden houses and having a garden so large that it is as big as a zoo. All of the houses have become more suitable for living and have things that are needed for a good life. Even though people back in the day also lived a happy life, they wouldn’t actually be needing a golden temple. Modern houses are less pretty and have less flowery. Modern building have less artworks nut are more suitable for people to live in!
😊

Even structures like the Great Wall of China. These would have been designed by people similar to architects and engineers. Sadly alot of old structures have been ruined by people to make way for new structures.
Lucy Voss

The building process in the past was a lot more dangerous and even life threatening, due to not having the proper equipment, there was a crane back in the ancient Roman times that was like a human hampster wheel, and if the person stopped running if they got tired then the machine would stop working. Imagine that happening when it is carrying something in mid air. The job of being inside the human hamster wheel was normally given to blind people because the crane was very high up, and blind people couldn’t see down.

But still buildings built many years ago are still standing the houses that have been built today are much stronger because natural disasters are occurring more.
