The Payback of Procrastination

Once upon a time, in a high school very much like your own, there lived a high school student by the name of Amanda. Amanda had a borderline grade and was attempting to bring up her grade to receive her first car. Amanda was waiting for her finals to bring her grade up, but foolishly held off studying till the last night.  That night was filled with nightmarish formulas and equations. She tried her best to focus on the work ahead of her, but her cellphone beckoned to her from her desk.  Suddenly, a notification lit up on her phone and she decided to check it. Amanda’s best friend was suffering from high school drama and needed a shoulder to cry on. Amanda, being the friend that she is, listened intently to her friend for about an hour. Amanda looked back to her clock to see that it was already 7pm. She creeped down to her kitchen and snuck a pop tart to eat. She studied for her test for about a half an hour but came upon a question she didn't recognize. She booted up her laptop and googled her question without blinking. She wrote down the answer and made a note to study that subject harder later. She suddenly remembered a funny video her friend had told her about earlier that day.  She finds it and enjoys it very much. Amanda decides she has spent plenty of time studying for now and starts to watch a few more videos.  Then, she realizes that it’s 11pm and she needs to go to sleep because she has a 0 period in the morning.  Next thing she knows, the test she failed to study for was sitting directly in front of her.  The only things that popped in her mind were the videos she watched the night before.  Amanda learned her lesson to never procrastinate again.
