The following are the general capabilities for History subjects identified in the general capabilities V9 website:

Locate, process, analyse, evaluate and communicate historical information.
Access and use digital literacy as an investigative and creative tool.
Seek a range of digital sources of information to resolve inquiry questions or challenges of historical relevance, being aware of intellectual property.
Critically analyse trends and critique source reliability.
Present and represent learning, collaborate, discuss and debate to co-construct knowledge.
Plan, organise, create, display and communicate data and information digitally, using multimodal elements for a variety of reasons and audiences.

This site aims to promote thoughtfully facilitated discussions around art, relevant as discussing visual sources is a major skill in history. VTS offers school programs to offer PD to educators, image sets that follow the curriculum for educators to access, and more.

I have included the History Teacher's association for my state (QLD) as a resource here. This association not only allows teachers to connect with each other and support each other, but provides resources for use in the classroom for members and non-members.

History Skills is a site that contains hundreds of free resources, ranging from learning activities, to sources categorised by period/era, to ready-made lesson ideas categorised by year level. There do seem to be some extra resources and aspects of this site that are behind a paywall, but there is still a vast multitude of free resources to explore.

I have accesses the QCAA site for my chosen area and found 4 content descriptors that I will base my lessons around.

Arc learning resources (Victorian Government)

Arc learning is a site run by the Victorian Government that provides a multitude of free resources in multiple subject areas, including history, and these resources can be refined into relevant areas such as my chosen area, year 8 medieval history. As this site is government run, it is not behind a paywall and is likely relevant to the overall Australian cirriculum.

This site is one I found through poking around other Padlet boards, and I think it's great. Seeing as it can sometimes be difficult to find videos for specific topics, and Kahoot is being blocked on many school networks, this is an extremely helpful resource.
