In todays era people see thanksgiving as a time to gather with you family and talk about anything towards dinner and more food is ready people start to gather around the table and then they give thanks and dig in. I think more or less this is what its mainly supposed to be about gathering with friends and family to talk and have some fun. Unrelated but most of the time thanksgiving is overshadowed by black Friday deals.

Thanksgiving evolved because it used to be more religious. When the pilgrims immigrated to American they had to adapt the region on the new land. Because of the way the pilgrims and natives united it allowed Thanksgiving to be something unite people. I feel as though now Thanksgiving is a blow-off holiday. It feels like just a pointless tradition to make way for Christmas. The religious and thankful aspect of Thanksgiving has lost its meaning.

Based on my 2 second google search it was because the pilgrims made corn. Now it's just a day to get fat and early black friday shopping. Honestly don't care, christmas is better anyway. Thanksgiving is the christmas tree deadline or to at least take it out of the attic/garage.

I think it changed over time because of how more modern it's becoming as we evolve more into the future with being distracted with technology as we are more drawn to our phones instead of talking, it's still very traditional when it comes to gathering and eating with family but more advanced in a way. What this means to American history now is that it still remains having an expressed gratitude on goodness in life, nothing has changed the meaning for America, it still remains the same like it did in the past even if we celebrate Thanksgiving or not.

Although many families still gather around and share what they're thankful for along with just spending time with one another. A good amount of the community does the opposite. Leaving their family dinner to go stand in lines filled with stranger to gain the best Black Friday deals. Fighting one another, rather than helping and uplifting one another. i feel this is what thanksgiving has become.

the original story was a native American tribe and the pilgrims got together for a feast after they helped them with their first harvest. Apparently this was not the total truth and they had more of a alliance rather than a friend ship. I think thanks giving has turned into something completely unique. Its turned into a day of thanks and family gathering. The history isn't that important amirite
