The abundance of sand affects the animals and many animals have adapted feet so it is easier to walk and run in the sand. Some animals adapt to the heat by either gaining a resistance to it or running in the shade of dunes, rocks, shrubs or twigs. Many animals adapt to the lack of water, like toads who dig a borough and seal themselves away until it rains

The economic value of the desert is fairly high due to the fact that much of the worlds gold and oil is found in deserts. The abundance of oil is due to the fact the desert used to be a ocean and many of the animals that lived in the desert millions of years ago have fossilized. There is also a lot of gold in the desert.
