         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>there is no doubt that universities want to recruit international students and are at least superficially internationalizing</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>On the plus side, there were several examples of authority support that nurtured the positive intercultural experiences of international students：1.Students spoke very positively about the induction and welcome week activities, which helped to introduce them to the system 2.Mentor systems were also in place in some cases, where international students in their second year acted as support for newcomers 3.Four case-study students who had experienced isolated incidents of racism outside the university environment felt that such things were very unlikely within the university and that there was evidence of active anti-racism at the institutional level.&nbsp;<br><br>On the whole, the survey students (82%) were positive about the approachability of their lecturers.However, case-study students also reported that a minority of tutors were not supportive of them as individuals, and did not encourage positive intercultural contact. Of the initial survey respondents, 23% – a minority but a substantial one – had concerns about relationships with tutors.</div>]]></description>
