Rosalind Franklin studied DNA using x-rays along with Maurice Wilkins. They produced an x-ray photograph that allowed two other scientists to work on the 3D structure of DNA. The two scientists were James Watson and Francis Crick and they found that the structure of DNA was double helix.

Their work was important because her discovery helped scientists understand how genetic information is passed from parents to children.

They were only two of many scientists working on figuring out the structure of DNA.

Their work was important because they discovered the shape of DNA and what it contain inside. It was also important because not only did they know the shape of DNA but also how or why it was that shape.

Friedrich Miescher would collect bandages from a nearby clinic and he would wash off the pus. He experimented and isolated a new molecule nuclein from the cell nucleus. Friedrich determined that nuclein was made up of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen.

Friedrich's work was important because he was the first to identify DNA as a distinct molecule. it was also important because he had a different method of discovering DNA and he thought nuclein was the key.
