Crashing down in an unsynchronised rhythm

I hear voices screaming, 

There are too many to make out

I hear uneven breathing 

From people struggling with their own minds

I smell the dew in the air

As well as the flowers in bloom

I feel the cold breeze bend around each part of exposed skin

I feel the anxiety reverberating around

I widen my stride and pick up my pace.

It’s time that I finish this race
