Unfortunately, due to the hurricane that struck this place everything has been put on hold. Despite this, they're still a large part of the economy.

They had assumed that after the Spanish-American War that they would become apart of the States, but were instead stuck in "limbo". Not only this, but the sugar industry that America began there led to huge poverty issues due to the disruption of the coffee industry.
