Our 5th Graders developed their collaborative skills throughout this project as they had to work in groups and prepare the products each time. They enhanced their cultural awareness through their interaction with students from other European countries and cultures. Moreover, they focused on the development and improvement of their 4 skills namely writing, speaking, reading and listening as each one of them was the activity of each month. Finally, they enhanced the 21st skills such as creativity, imagination and communication. All the above are the objectives of the school curriculum for the English lesson in the 5th Grade in Greece. In this project all students and teachers collaborated eagerly and were all actively involved in order to complete all the activities of the project and at the same time fulfill all the aims of our curriculum.

The project was a great resource for teachers, in general, but also for students. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with partners, to communicate and to improve teacher-students learning process. My students learned a lot, it was their first chance to be connected with peoples from abroad, students and teachers. In this way they heard new accents, learned about new cultures, educational systems, games, stories, places and so on. They interacted with students from abroad exchanged ideas, experiences, and resources connected to English language learning, language acquisition, self-study, teaching methods, and approaches as well as online tools. They experienced Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading skills in a funny way through games, arts, sports, stories s. o. The findings may provide more insight to practitioners and lead to a higher quality of teaching and learning.
I consider that the use of these learning tools can construct a collaborative online learning environment and encourage multimodal communication.

My 4th grade students were so excited when they learnt that they were going to prepare christmas cards for friends from abroad. They began to feel that the unique communication way with their froreign friends was to write and speak in English. Then, they had online meetings and tried to develop the four major skills while learning English. Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. When they were talking about themselves, they used all the information they had learnt so far. First unit was introducing oneself, the second unit was abilities, the next was about likes and dislikes and then talking about daily activities. It was totally related to curriculum and they found the chance of using English in real context. They also became much more self confident and creative. They learnt to work cooperatively. They were active and productive. They used all the subjects we had in the curriculum of 4th grade. Thank you.

The project has involved my 5th level students in different activities regarding the development of listening, writing, reading and talking activities. It fitted perfectly in the school curriculum, which contemplates the reinforcement of the knowledge of the English language and the acquisition of the level A1 certificate from the students. The children had a lot of fun during the different phases of the project as well.

The aims of the project met our educational goals since the aim of the project was to strengthen English Langauge skills in different aspects: reading, writing, listening, speaking and the cultural awareness.
It was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with qualified partners, to collaborate, to share experiences and to develop teaching methods and approaches.
Participating in this project was a great opportunity for my students. It was amazing to meet their foreign friends online and talking to them was very amazing.
The national curriculum of Georgia Takes into account the demands of the 21-st century skills and the aims of this project. Children gained knowledge in different aspects of learning a new language and they also gained computer skills.

The pupils involved into this project are in 2nd grade (8-9 years old) and they had reached the following skills:

Communication competences in foreign languages reached throughout F.L.Y. project:

   1. Identifying information in a foreign language through simple oral or written messages (the pupils had read phrases which defined an object or an idea and had placed the disordered letters in their correct order, obtaining the correct word for an answer; each team of pupils wrote the rules of a game so they could explain to the other teams how a specific game works) in familiar communication contexts;
   2. Expressing opinions and emotions in short, simple, written and oral messages, in familiar contexts (the classmates made presentations about themselves, mentioning their name, age, school and class, their favorite school objects and even their passions; They made cards for their foreign colleagues and wrote greetings onto them; they made logos for the project and each one created a Wordart which describes the F.L.Y. project using the key words. In the end, they had created a form in which they stated their opinions about the activities contained by the project);
   3. Participating in simple verbal interactions in familiar communication contexts (the pupils interacted with foreign kids during the online meetings, had asked questions and also answered to the ones related to their favorite school objects, their favorite pets, family members and passions. Also, the pupils used the chat during the online meetings in order to write to words found while playing Wordwall and the translations in Romanian/ Polish, making an important cultural exchange).

Digital competences reached throughout F.L.Y. project:

   1. Following the basic rules of safety while utilizing devices, applications, digital content and the Internet overall (the pupils found together rules about safety on the Internet throughout the activity called Safer Internet Day, making buletin boards);
   2. Developing simple digital contents in learning activities contexts (the pupils used the following applications: Padlet (for personal presentations), Zoom (during the online meetings), Canva (for the presentation of December's activity), Word (a function used for writing about cultural games played in other countries)
   3. The usage in teaching of a few simple functions and digital devices, while being watched by adults (the pupils filmed with their mobile phones their game progress and made a short presentation clip using Clips Maker; they took pictures with their phone and created a collage using Photo Joiner- Collage Editor, they had also used Wordart and Google Forms)

   Because of this project, the pupils used and amplified their skills, such as speaking, writing, reading and creating, putting their English to challenge. The F.L.Y. project helped the kids develop better personally and academically. Thank you for this opportunity!

For me project F.L.Y. was a tool for implementing the basic assumptions and goals of the education system. It developed the key competences of students, including: cooperation and problem solving skills, creativity, innovation, and also taught how to use information and communication technologies in an effective and responsible way. They developed their language skills like speaking, listening, reading and writing. This project also stimulated me to be creative, innovative, to take up new challenges and implement the core curriculum with the use of modern technologies. The accumulated experience of many schools involved in the activities of the project allowed me to conduct lessons more interestingly and effectively.

Dear colleagues, I want to thank my friend Iuliana, for all the effort she put into this project, and I'm not just referring to the technical part, which is quite complicated, but also to all her involvement in this project. This is was my first etwinning project and I am pleased to say it won`t be the last one.My students loved it.The tasks were great, really interactive and really engaging for the children.I truly love the fact that we got the chance to meet online, to talk, to exchange ideas and have the kids experiment the real speaking English tasks. I was amazed to see how the organizer managed to deliver tasks and to organize us, the other participants.This is the real proof that a good leader is an inspiration to his team.Thank you for the opportunity of participating in this lovely project.I met lovely teachers and I wish them good luck in the future and maybe we can keep in touch :)
