Bio luminescence is the making and emission of light by a living organism. It is a form of chemiluminescence. Bio luminescence happens alot in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi and micro organisms including some bio luminescent bacteria and terrestrial invertebrates like fireflies. Bio luminescence is a cold light so it creates about 20% of heat.

Chemilumunescence is a emission of light created by a chemical reaction. The items that are most common to have chemiluminescence are fireflys, jellyfish and glow sticks. chemiluminescences do not provide much heat but it creates about 20% of heat.

Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiations. It is a form of luminescence. In most cases, the emitted light has a longer wavelength and it creates smaller portions of energy.
