In this activity included within the subjet of Music, we have developed several instruments from different countries of the Commonweath, specifically from Caribbean and Americas, Africa, Canada India and the Pacific.
We have seen where they are located on the map qand what their traditional music and dance is.
The materials we have used can be easily found in any home. Apart from talking about the typical folklore of those countries in question, we have listened to traditional music from Cyprus, the host country of this part of the project. Below, we show you a video with our instruments.

"Breakout" to discover Cyprus.
Through various tasks related to mathematical operations, puzzles, content about the water cycle, and spelling content, children have been overcoming tasks related to these topics and solving them to discover the language, flag, monuments, typical food, and curiosities about Cyprus. Once discovered, we talk a little about them, and they receive a number to get the code for the box and discover its contents.

The children sing a Christmas carol for their ERASMUS+ program classmates, to wish them happy holidays. At the end of the song, they convey the message "Merry Christmas" in Spanish, Turkish, and English. They hold signs made by themselves with the message in the three languages

Conociendo Chipre 3º primaria

A research project on Cyprus and its traditions is carried out (associated with the Erasmus + programme).
The most important ones are chosen to get to know our Cypriot friends better.

In order to share our research with the rest of the countries of the Erasmus + program, the children create, in groups, some posters:
- About the location of Cyprus.
- One about the flower crowns that are hung on the doors in the festival of the flowering of nature that is celebrated on May 1st.
- Another about his hospitable and friendly nature.
- About their traditional dress ("sayia" for women and "vraka" for men).
- Their traditional dish: "Trachanas".
- Their traditional sweet: "Loukomades".

The posters come with information in Spanish and English; and the ERASMUS + sign appears on them.

A video will be recorded with a brief explanation, in Spanish and English, about the poster of each group.

Both classes of 6th grade of Primarry, have carried out an investigation Project about Cyprus.

Firstly, we watched a video about this country and later, we talked about it. Secondly, students worked in groups of 5, they had to find information about Cyprus: where it is located, its flag and inhabitants; its gastronomy; famous people; curiosities; monuments and interesting places and its traditions, dances and music.

After they gathered all the information and did the Project, each group did a presentation about their Project in front of an audience.

It was a motivating Project and it helped students to know about this beautiful country.
