You can choose any topic. You could just provide a piece of paper and get the students to draw their own picture on it.  I believe that it could be a great fun for everyone.

A nice activity which can be used as a first lesson, getting-to-know-you activity, or even as an ice-breaker. The teacher writes some factual answers to possible personal questions on the board (or, they could even write these answers on some post-its and hang them on the walls of the classroom).
My answers for instance would be:

Manchester, England
Comedies
Rock Music
In groups, or pairs, students will have to find the questions to these answers (How many Facebook friends have you got?  What foreign languages can you speak? Where did you spend your summer holidays?... etc.).
It's fun, it's a way to introduce yourself to your students.
