we can use different verbs and structures when we report what someone or says

we can reports thoughts with think plus a that -clause.
example: I thought that you were coming to the party.

we can report statements with say or tell plus a that-clause.
example: He said that he likes watching films.

we can report yes/no questions with ask plus an if-clause. we can use whether instead of if.
example: he asked if I liked indian food.
he asked whether Iliked indian food.
we can report requets, invitations and commands with ask, invite or tell plus person +to+ base form + of the verb.
example : they asked me to help.

we often use say, tell, and ask when we report speech, but we can also use various other verbs. different verbs are followed by differents patterns.

apologise canbe followed by form + ing- form of the verb.
example : he apologised for being late.
agree (= say yes ), offer, and refuse can be followed by to + base form + of the verb.
ask (=request) can be followed by object + to + base form of the verb.
example: he agreed to finish early.
they offered to drive us to the station.
she refused to stop talking.
she asked me to sit down.

almost and nearly have similar meanings.
we can use them to say that an action came close to happening, but didnt happen.

we also use almost and nearly to talk about progress, and when we measure time or things.

just can mean exactly, only, or almost not.
example: he was just right for me. (he was exactly right for me).

hardly means almost not at all. we can use it with expressions like ever, any and anybody.
example: I could hardly believe it. (I almost couldnt believe it at all).

Two short topics will be discussed, which in this case will be the measures taken in Colombia and Nicaragua for the evacuation of people by hurricane Iota.

Which opinions from the two talks do you agree or disagree with? Why?
answer: I agree with the measures that Nicaragua has taken when evacuating thousands of people and I disagree with the Colombian government that it is useless.

Do you think IT is possible to translate perfectly from one language to another? Is There anything you think cannot be translated?
Answers: It is possible to translate everything from one language to another. I would think that it would be difficult to translate the words that are specific to each country.
