He says the current system is not complete, is bad, and makes people compete, which makes some feel less good (inferior) and others feel more good (superior). Instead, he suggests a system without tests, where teachers watch students all the time to see how they’re doing. The focus should be on what’s happening now, not on future goals. In this system, teachers become guides, showing students where to find the newest information and using things like TV and computers to teach. The five parts are: 1) learning facts from TV and computers, including two languages (your first language and English); 2) science, which is tricky and needs a human guide; 3) how to live well, turning bad feelings into love, being funny, and respecting life; 4) art and creativity, letting students pick from many creative activities to connect with the always-changing world; and 5) learning about death, including meditation and self-defense arts to understand that life never really ends. This complete education helps make people who understand themselves and the world well.
