However, his unique sculpture style was very influential towards the Renaissance. Adding emotion to sculptures was not common until Donatello.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Judith and Holofernes<br>Depicts a character slaying a tyrant. Commissioned to show a metaphor of the leader of Florence. Depicts Judith as the strong triumphing over the weak. The Medici's saw themselves as the protectors of freedom and peace in Florence.<br>Bronze David<br>Commissioned by the Medici family. Shows David in a contemplative pose after slaying Goliath. He holds Goliath's sword as he rests his foot on top of Goliath's head.<br>Gattamelata<br>Named after the nickname of the mercenary shown riding the horse. Statue made for Erasmo after his death fighting for Venice.<br> <br><br></div>]]></description>
