What historical change in American attitudes does Dy Zarsadiaz identify as the ultimate cause of gentrification?

Zarsadiaz identifies the historical change , that also changed the American attitudes was the role of prominence in the late 19th and 20th century.Cities were conceptualized as landscapes of innovation, opportunity, and heterogeneity, this caused people and the government to pull together for a common good. These popular ideas have remained in the broader public imagination, but in the last 30 years the governments responsibilities have been given to "outsider" companies causingsociety to be unbalanced.

A new form of urbanization is occurring since the last decade where property values are rising and minorities are being displaced. The everyday needs and resources that were once the governments responsibilities, are now passed onto “outsider” companies. Smaller businesses have difficulties competing with companies such as Best Buy and Target. These companies also transform the basic blue-colored neighborhoods into “livable” urban streets. On one hand, if you have the time and money, the city has bloomed but for others, the struggles even worsen.
