#1. Part A, part B of story, students must recount what their story says. Then they read each other's to verify.
#2. Two truths, one lie about yourself- student's invent, tell each other and report back on which they think is the lie.
#3. Art competition students draw something (anything). Work is put up around room to be analysed by gallery attenders (pairs). Then each artist has to try and sell their work to other people- using persuasive language and their imagination.
#4 End of the world
list of people (professions)
students must choose 6 to be saved from the dying planet
then choose 5
then 4
#5 Fishbowl
vocab on bits of paper in a cup on their table up to 30 words
teams. First round students must describe the word to their team members when they get the word a scribe writes it down a piece of paper. Then when the first team completes all (or the timer stops) students keep the papers of the word guessed, add up their points (one per word) and return them, and them only to the cup- teacher takes the remaining words not guessed from each team. Round two, picking up one word at a time students must act out that word (the aid is the list in front of them of previously guessed words) same thing, first team to finish gets those points, all other points of other teams are also counted so the first winning team has the advantage but others can act out all the words quicker and get more points. Round three, just a gesture (or a sound) to describe the word.
