ENTRY INTO THE FASHION SPHERE:

In the 1930s, Dior commenced his professional journey by selling fashion sketches to various couture houses. His talent quickly garnered attention, and he secured positions working alongside established designers, honing his craft and absorbing the intricacies of haute couture. His artistic inclinations led him to pursue studies in political science. However, his burgeoning interest in fashion ultimately propelled him toward a different career trajectory.

Christian Dior presents itself today as a powerful, globally recognized luxury brand that masterfully blends couture craftsmanship with modern innovation, leveraging high-profile marketing, e-commerce, and collaborations to appeal to a broad, global audience, from luxury tourists to fashion enthusiasts. The brand maintains its heritage by emphasizing savoir-faire, but applies these time-honored techniques across its diversified lines, including ready-to-wear, jewelry, and home accessories, ensuring continued relevance and growth.  

The introduction of beauty products by Dior makes the brand more accessible. Consumers are able to be a part of the luxury brand, and own their products without having to pay extremely high prices.

The current creative director of Dior is JONATHAN ANDERSON, who was appointed in June 2025.

At Paris Fashion Week, the brand debuted a contemporary interpretation of the classic 'New Look' dress. This demonstrates the idea of bringing Dior's heritage back into the modern brand.

Dior is expanding into wellness, having just opened the brands first luxury spa in New York City which opened in August 2025.

Dior is continuing to expand into accessories- with a focus on new bags and fine jewellery. As well as this they are releasing new perfumes and advanced skincare technology.
