My passion for electronics led me to spend countless hours experimenting with circuits and gadgets, particularly in the field of industrial automation.

 I was particularly fascinated by the emerging Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)—industrial computers used to control manufacturing processes, machinery, and automated systems. These systems are known for their reliability, flexibility, and ease of programming, and I eagerly read about their applications in modern plants.

At that time, the brewing industry was known for its cutting-edge automated production lines. Despite my enthusiasm, I lacked real-world experience.

One day, our professor announced that a local SENAI was offering internships to a few students from our class. The internships involved teaching math and drawing classes, which initially seemed unrelated to my career goals.

 I was hesitant, unsure if I had the skills to teach and if this experience would be beneficial for my technical career. Nevertheless, I decided to apply for the position.

To my surprise, I was selected for the internship. What I initially thought would be a simple teaching role turned into a much more significant opportunity.

After six months of teaching, I was surprised to discover that SENAI was embarking on a major project funded by prominent brewery companies like Brahma and Antarctica. These companies had formed a joint venture to establish the largest brewery school in Brazil. To my astonishment, another incredible opportunity came my way—I was selected to be the technician at the brewery school’s plant!

This role allowed me to apply the theoretical knowledge I had gained in class and see how it translated into practical applications.

During my time at the brewery school, I worked on complex projects, learned from experienced professionals, and even managed a small project of my own.

This experience was invaluable, boosting my confidence and deepening my passion for industrial automation and electronics.

Looking back, I realize that seizing this opportunity was a pivotal moment in my career. It taught me the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing chances when they come our way.

The internship not only enhanced my technical skills but also helped me build connections that proved crucial in my later professional journey.

However, one day our school announced there would be a photography contest. I knew how much she loved taking pictures so I said "You should enroll. You take amazing pictures." As I expected, she just shrugged. But later that day, she sent me a message asking if I really liked her photos. That gave me a little hope, I told her again that they were amazing and she had nothing to lose by trying. Days passed and I had forgotten about that contest, I didn´t even bother to ask her if she had enrolled or not. But then, one morning she was head over heels. She said "They picked my photo! I actually won!"

I couldn´t be more proud of my friend. It was like she finally realised that good things could come her way if she just let them.
