We cannot ignore history, yes not everyone is going to feel comfortable. but without speaking about the uncomfortable it ignores even the past two years and many things as many future educators are to incorporate culture into the classroom.

What is the logic in that?

In today's world as a teacher it is emphasized to discuss everyone in the classroom. Yes, it could be a hard truth for some students to understand. But it is true for years we have been talking about Slavery with students of color and now we're worried on how that affects our White students? If anything it should be worried about the students of color and the pain. No matter who it affects, it effects everyone and it's history that should be taught.

This post to me enlightened on how many people do not understand what the Critical Race Theory is. It is not teaching students anything bad. It is just going too far based on false or not the full background of the theory itself.

I really like the caption of this post. We need to be culturally repsonsive in the classroom. The point of teavhing history is to not repeat itself and this is how it will, it essentially is when schools are not teaching students this truth of our nation. I love when it says "I pledge to continue to teach my students lovingly and truthfully, especially when. it comes to difficult subjects like race, prejudice, and bias." That quote enables as teachers what we should ALWAYS do.
