Digital connectedness is good for society. To put it simply, easier communications across otherwise impossible to cross language and geographical boundaries helps provide for an easier route to a harmonious world, as we no longer need to wait for translations or letters to mail.

It all depends on how you use it. There is so much good that comes out of being connected to everyone. But it also comes with its consequences, for example online bullying and scams. But it is also a way we can see cultures around the world and interact with people we don't usually interact with.

While the ease of Social Media posting may seem to be a boon, it is actually a bane to activism because nobody pays much attention to social media posts, and if your post gets drowned out by many other posts that people pay attention to, it will never get the attention it needs.

People should sometimes be held accountable for what they have posted on social media and fired from a job/rejected from a college. Essentially, it basically comes down to the grey area between what could be construed as "dark humor" and a post that is a legitimately concerning opinion or statement. Furthermore, the passage of time confuses this issue further as people may have changed in between their post and the current moment.

I would say yes because these type of people have lots of viewers who are influenced by that person, making their claim seem important. If you try to prove your point, obviously not everybody is going to agree with you. You are going to get "flamed" most likely in the comments. Or you can have people actually agreeing with you but that is very rare. People are going to comment if they disagree 90 percent of the time.

I think social media is a Effective means of protest and activism because it seems like people are expressing thier concerns and complaints on things that seem too "missleading or hurtful and untrue but they are just being a little baby.

It is not possible to truly know someone you've only met online. To begin with, lying about yourself is ludicrously easy to do on the internet. Furthermore, a human emotional connection is extremely difficult to form without personal face-to-face contact. Innovations such as video calls have somewhat solved these problems, but studies have shown it is not the same as human contact between two people in each other's physical presence.

Depending on what you are posting and when you posted it can determine your job or admissions. If you posted something saying risky things that most people would not post at a young age is bad but people also make mistakes so if it was from 10-plus years ago when you had time to grow as a person and evolve I would say that it shouldn't affect you, but if it was the same situation just 5 years prior than I would say it would affect you since it was not long enough ago.

Once you've met someone online that you have made a real connection with over texting, it is never a good idea to meet up right away to meet each other. Having the ability to Facetime or send pictures is an advantage in today's world of meeting people offline.
