Today I'm happy because we don't have state testing! And because after school I'm going to the track meet to watch some of my friends! This morning I was almost late because I woke up late, luckily my mom woke me up and helped me gather all my things so I wasn't late. Tomorrow I have soccer practice with my team because our other practices got cancelled his week because of all the rain we've been having Yesterday night we had Youth Group at my church and it was really fun, a lot of my friends go there with me! Today I have quite a story to tell you today. Yesterday we were going about our day totally normal. Then in fifth hour Mr. Bland came over the speakers and said that we need to go into lock down. Everyone freaked out. We didn't know what that meant. And he said "not a drill" which scared us even more. We've only ever had lock down drills so everyone was going crazy. Our teacher tried to get us to calm down but it was hard to. The first thing just about everyone did was text their parents. We all just wanted to know if they knew what was happening. Over the weekend it was Easter! My soccer team had a game on Saturday morning. We showed up Saturday and only had one sub. The other team had a full team of eighteen people! We were expecting to be ran off the field because the lack of subs. We tied at half time and when we went back on we were pretty tired. Then late in the game we scored! We won the game 1-0! After that we went to my grandma's house and had early Easter dinner. On  actual Easter I hid some eggs for my mom to find since I'm older now. Yesterday I went after school with Riley Titus to the high school softball games. While we were there Lydia, Shai, Zach, Jose, Richard, Maddison, and Trenidy showed up and hung out with us. We watched mostly the JV game but we watched a little varsity. It was a double header so they played two games. The game I watched was against a school called Piper. JV lost and I think that Varsity did too, but I'm not for sure. I think that they just play the same team twice but I'm not for sure. On Friday we didn't have school, so I slept in and cleaned my house. I also played in a dodge ball tournament with some friends. We didn't get home until really late. The next day I had a game at 3. We tied 1-1, Taylor scored the goal. After that I went Freezing Moo, the place with rolled ice cream. Then after that I went to prom walk in. Everyone looked so pretty! There were some things that people came in that were very interesting. Someone even came in an airplane! After that I went to Taylor's house. We watched movies and ate food. Over the weekend I was supposed to have a soccer game. Then we signed up for a tournament and so we had to cancel that game to play. Since it rained so much that our tournament got cancelled. After that there was another tournament that I was going to play in with another team because there's was still not cancelled. So I woke up the next morning and that tournament got cancelled too! After that my dad and I went to the pet store in Lawrence because they were having a big sale, where everything in the store was on sale. After that we went home and just relaxed. Yesterday I went to Mia's house again and that was fun. Today was her dad's birthday so we had good breakfast. Today is also one of the first days this week that it wasn't poring down rain. So maybe tomorrow I'll have soccer practice. Even though we don't have a game this weekend because half of our team does track and the league track meet is on the weekend. If we had a game a lot of our team would be missing, but luckily we were able to ask for that weekend off. Even though I love soccer sometimes it okay to have a little break from it. This morning it was raining yet again. Yay..... I actually love rain but this much is getting a little annoying. I can't do anything! Soccer practice is cancelled yet again. And at my church we were supposed to do a bunch of really fun things outside but we can't because it's raining and it will be too muddy and messy for anything outside. I hope that maybe they'll move some of the fun things inside so that it is still fun to go to. Even if they didn't I'd still be happy because I love going to the church with all of my friends. We are going to have like a party almost. Today is May the fourth. Like how in Star Wars they say may the force be with you people today will be saying May the fourth be with you. I think it's actually kind of funny but some people think it's annoying. Anyways after school today I'm going with my grandma shopping for some shoes that go with my promotion dress. I usually don't like shopping but I'm okay with it since it's for me and my promotion. I'm really excited for promotion. Dear Diary,
Today is Friday. It's also our last Friday as eighth graders! It's our last Friday in the middle school. I'm ready to go to high school I think (or as ready as I'll ever be) but I'm really going to miss the middle school. I'm going to miss all the seventh and sixth graders too even though soon enough they'll be over there too. My brother was already in high school and graduated so he can help me with some stuff I guess. And since I've been there with him before I know a little bit about where everything is, but I'm pretty positive I will get lost once or twice! I'm ready for school to be over though, to hang out with all my friends in the summer. Even though sometimes I see my friends more at school then I do in the summer.
