Here is a selection of hoodies and tops that could be used for the main character of Edward. The look i'm going for is middle classed, average, stereotypical teenager. Not someone you would expect to be doing the business he is.

Hoody

For the hoodies, I have chosen a zip up as it gives the character some freedom with the openness of the detail. I chose dark colours to keep the mood quite somber and serious. The fit of the jumper I think should be quite loose, allowing the character to maybe grab hold of the sides with his hands so he can make the situation more awkward. Also by having the jumper maybe a bit bigger than he is, it makes the character seem more enclosed and fragile to the situation.

T-shirt

For the undershirt I chose to go for a loose fit casual t-shirt. Still sticking with the same colour scheme as the hoody follows with dark, dull colours. Nothing that will make the character stand out as abnormal from anyone else. The loosness of the shirt makes the character seem smaller and more insignificant. It also shows from another persons perspective that he doesn't care for what he looks like, as he doesn't pay much attention to fashion and that he is just aiming for comfort.

Bottom Half

The bottom half I have gone through a selection of blue, dark washed jeans because the tone of the colour suggests blending in and ordinary. It's a bog standard colour that loads of guys go for.

Trousers and shoes

By matching the dark wash of the jeans to the dark pallet used for the upper body the whole emotion of lonely eminates from his image. By having super skinny, the fabric will cling to his skin and therefore will make the character not only look slimmer, but will make this association with the character being timid and quite self contained. Then along with the trousers I have chosen some simple plimpsoles. Quite common with teenagers nowadays and are the epiphany of comfort. Not only this but the dark colour scheme again, helps him blend in with the environment.

The Characters name is Edward. Within the scenes this will be the main character, a timid teenager, feeble, tall, social outcast almost and an awkward character.

The only visible prop that I am using for this character is a back pack. This is the center of attention throughout the whole sequence. This object is what we will be fixated upon: wanting to know what's inside it, why the character has it, how the character got into contact with the bag in the first place and who else wants it? This prop also creates enigma within the scenes and it makes the whole piece have a focus, making the short film more structured.
