About Me by Tatiana Macio https://padlet.com/tatmacio/9csznd37h8g8rc9l I am an educator for the New York City Public Schools, I work in the Bronx, N.Y. During this past 15 years, I have taught in low-income neighborhoods in New York City, where most of the students come from immigrant families who speak another language at home. I strongly believe that students from underrepresented groups should be celebrated for their unique characteristics and stories. Our children deserve school leaders and educators that will nurture them to become the trailblazers of tomorrow. Modeling inclusivity and being fearless when understanding and addressing racial and social inequalities is instrumental to this effort.
