In headline wars we got to learn about the unfair ways most Aboriginal Australians are treated and we also learned about the unfair stereotypes such as in the comic strip in headline wars a police officer says that the dad has to sit down and have a talk with the dads son and the dad says "Ok whats his name?" implying that Australian Aboriginal dads don't take care of there kids

In this text we had to make we talked about what we'd learnt.

"Indigenous Aboriginals connection with our country is very strong for example in the youtube video “The land owns us” the person speaking talks about the land and our country as if it was a member of their own family which is understandable because all land is living and also the reason it’s not really acceptable to say that you own the land because you can’t say that you own a living thing because it would be like me going up to a random person and saying that I own them which is clearly untrue and not very respectful. They most likely value the land so much because they know what it’s like to be treated terribly and around 300 years ago the British treated them disrespectfully and colonised Australia which made them value the land because people don’t value things as much until it’s been taken from them. Aboriginal Australians are very respectful towards the land and the country because their laws and spirituality is tied to the land also because to the Aboriginals it’s almost like a source of identity to them so they have lots of respect towards it and are proud to live on Australian land and to be Indigenous Australians."
