         <description><![CDATA[<div>The purpose of this unit is to find ways to motivate Chilean students to read literary works in English in order to introduce Chilean students to the world of literature and eventually Chilean students will read English.<br>For this unit my initial challenge would be to solve the question of the unit, and devise proposals to overcome student demotivation, therefore my question would be: what strategies will make reading literature more motivating for Chilean students?<br>This initial challenge is quite relevant because literature helps us to broaden our knowledge and our mind, so it is very important that Chilean students have knowledge about literature and keep acquiring knowledge day by day. The strategies to approach literature in an entertaining way is very important because it keeps us motivated to keep reading, since it seems that students were demotivated before to read literature and to include new literary culture in us.<br>I think the fundamental thing we are going to learn in this unit is to explore the students' lack of information.<br>In summary, I believe that students' lack of motivation to read in English is due to several factors, such as confusion about the task demands, vocabulary shortage, poor background knowledge, memory problems, lack of knowledge and/or lack of mastery of comprehension strategies. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that all these factors can be solved if we find the right strategy for each reader, so that English language learners will find it easier to comprehend and even enjoy their reading.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During this process I have noticed that my motivation to read literature has increased since I have implemented the reading comprehension (analysis, searching the concepts that i don’t know) and that has helped me to enrich my vocabulary to understand the texts, I have also improved my grammar since I understand the books and I am acquiring knowledge and at the same time I question what I don't know.</div>]]></description>

Techniques like analyze books and texts, search unknown words, creating reading habits, read books that are to my liking or interest me, look for a comfortable, quiet and bright place to start reading, etc.</div>]]></description>
