What the studies presented in the article have in common is that they are all figuring out different things about how people type, and more so, how our ways of typing are changing. The text says, "Two-thumbed mobile typists generated an average of about 38 words per minute, according to what researchers describe
as the largest experiment to date on mobile typing," in paragraph two. It also says in another study, "In fact, 10- to 19-year-olds type about 10 words per minute (wpm) faster than people in their 40s do, regardless of whether the keyboard was on a smartphone or a computer," in paragraph nine. Both of these studies are about words per minute, and they showed how people are getting faster at typing.
