If we use too much it is too expensive and kills animals, crops, and habitats. If we don’t use enough there will be lots of chances of car accidents which is very bad. I think we have to reduce the amount of rock salt we use so we can stay safe and keep food, habitats, people, and animals healthy. Obviously we need the salt so people don’t end up in the hospital or cars aren’t destroyed but we don’t want to end up killing our plants and animals. Plants and animals are two parts of our food chain so we shouldn’t hurt our planet. I think that people should be limited to the salt they use. The government isn’t doing enough to stop this problem. They should have a plan for the salt trucks and they have to start spending money so we can get the expensive truck that work well and that don’t spill salt. Rock salt is bad for the environment because any type of nature will die. This means water, trees and plants, and animals. However people are upgrading the technology that they use to drop salt so no salt is wasted in spots that are not needed of salt and in a place that will injure nature. On the bright side salt reduces 90% of accidents that could happen.
