John Locke went to Christ Church and the University of Oxford. His career was studying medicine. John Locke believed in natural rights, he also believed that you can petition the government, and also believed you can express yourself. Another one of John Locke's major ideas is tolerance. John Locke thought it was important to believe in what you want to. One of his most famous books is Second Treatises On Civil Government (1689). John Locke influenced the government by making a theory that natural rights will help America. He told them about freedom of speech. He also got us freedom of religion. The government agreed and it changed the U.S. forever.
