The school provides for pupils aged 3 -16 who have been diagnosed with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and complex social and emotional behavioural difficulties;
Ysgol Hendrefelin also supports an assessment facility for pupils aged 11-16 who have emotional and/or behavioural difficulties that prevent or impede school attendance;
The school caters for a total of 170 pupils with around 70 members of teaching and non teaching staff. 
I have been eTwinning for 10 years and am now an eTwinning and British Council Ambassador involved in training other schools to embed eTwinning into their teaching and learning.

Pontybrenin  is situated in an urban location some 11 miles from Swansea City Centre and within easy reach of the Gower peninsular.

The school caters for children 4 - 11 years, also providing part - time nursery education for pupils who have attained their 3rd birthday.

The school currently has 370 pupils on roll. There are 12 classes with 13 teachers and a good balance of support staff.

I am currently teaching a Year 4 class but have had experiences in both Upper Key Stage 2 and Foundation Phase.

Interested in connecting with other practitioners and classrooms.

I taught at secondary level for 20+ years. Before retiring last year from NPT - I was a challenge adviser mainly for primary schools. I now work par time for International School Linking service supporting schools to develop the International Dimension for pupils and staff. I have helped schools access programmes and funding from British Council and Europe to develop their partners to face to face meetings and activities. My last project with 27 primary schools and 3 secondary schools included international residential camps for pupils and enhanced their first hand experiences of working with other young people across Europe.
