significance- this was a big deal because south was able to separate themselves from the north finally and have some freedom.
3: march 1965-  US officially joins the war
significance-  this was a big deal because it gave south a bigger advantage and more leverage to win.
4: jan 30th 1968- North sends 80,000 troops to 5 major cities.
5:april 30th 1975- The war officially ended.

After the US won the war with the south, USSR was even madder with them losing. This war connects to present day because proxys are very common.
