It showed one video clip of a little boy being hit by a car. This was very sad to watch because he was so young and you can see how much it hurt the mother to lose her child. From this video I learned that when alcohol takes over the human body, we are unable to control our mind and actions. When someone is intoxicated, they set themselves up for jail if they get caught by the police. Even in the PSA a police officer says that drunk drivers always get caught, so I don’t understand how people could possibly continue to drive, knowing they have a chance that is slim to none of either getting home safe or getting without being caught. I learned that even if you have something important after or need to be somewhere after you drank, it not worth it be the driving. Drunk driving not only poses a threat to the driver and passengers, but other around them. It showed me no matter how hold or young you are drunk driving can and will claim your life. It showed me the REAL consequences, the consequences. Not just the jail time and court, but the blood and gore, the deaths, and how the family reacts and feel deeply inside about losing a loved one. I will never ever drink nor drink in drive. If I am at a party and my friends are drinking I will be the designated driver. And in my car there will always be a driver who isn't under the influence. Drunk drivers endanger not only themselves but their passengers, neighbors, family members, and strangers. Even if you survive an accident, you will be fined, jailed, and the victims of your mistake will be burdened by high medical costs and permanent physical damage. But I’m not going to drink and drive at the same time. Drinking and Driving are a terrible mix, and if you are planning on drinking at a bar, make sure you get a designated driver so no one can get killed in a car accident and everyone just gets home safely. Most families are affected by this because what if it was their child or what if it was them driving while they were drunk and crashed and they survived but their child didn't. In the video it portrayed all the happy lives of many different people, but once they had to go home after drinking out they decided to drive which is extremely dangerous under the influence of alcohol. All of a sudden the video takes a turn for the worst bringing up many car accidents, and it more importantly shows how it is not just their life at stake, but it costs the lives of others. Learning from the video I can conclude that it clearly shows how drunk driving can drastically change everything in a second. Making that one decision can cost the lives of so many, and will tear others apart on the inside. Before making these kind of decisions you have to think about the consequences, and what you're getting yourself into.
