I enjoyed that one of the seven components was students’ hypotheses, experiences, cultural knowledge, and questions are treated as resources to help the class build toward big science ideas. Making sure that the student's voices are heard and valued, making sure that teachers use the ideas presented by students while guiding the learning process.

I like the idea of students making their thinking visible and having their ideas and thoughts open to peers and discussion, but I thought it would be challenging for students who have a hard time getting their thoughts down on paper.
